Eva Longoria - Why women make better directors, what Obama taught her about producing, and her purpose in life.

Angle on Producers with Carolina Groppa - Un pódcast de Carolina Groppa

On the premiere episode of the show, host Carolina Groppa sits down with the incomparable Eva Longoria. She wears many hats—actor, producer, director, entrepreneur, philanthropist, mother…you may be wondering, when does she sleep? Eva is constantly honing her craft, seeking new projects, and opening doors for women in the industry. She's passionate about paving the way for future female and minority producers, directors and industry leaders in Hollywood and beyond. You may be surprised to know that she’s been producing and directing for the past decade.    Women barely make up 7% of all working directors today. Eva leaned into her role as a producer to make a groundbreaking shift in the episodic world by hiring women to direct a majority of the series’ episodes. She then went a step further and hired all women for the director of photography and assistant director positions – departments which are notoriously male dominated.    Eva is talking the talk and walking the walk...in heels. She is a delight and a bottomless well of inspiration.
