28. Should you (too) build an app for your business?

In this episode, I have a guest with me and we talk about technology development and digital transformation. My guest Maxim Cramer is the technical coach who helps women entrepreneurs take on the tech world and strategising their apps from ideas to reality. An outspoken advocate for the need to bridge the gap between technology and business, she’s worked on apps that have seen a million downloads on the first day and been featured in Apple retail stores around the globe. Maxim has worked as a technical consultant, UX designer and software engineer with over ten years of experience in the industry. She was integral to the team that developed Swiftkey, a keyboard app that saw over a million downloads on launch and whose success was profiled in the New York Times (Microsoft has since acquired the app). She has also been a developer for fine arts app Artsy and a technical consultant for Hewlett-Packard. Today she works as a principal design technologist at Autodesk on a software product revolutionising the film and gaming industry. As founder of MENNENIA, Maxim empowers women business leaders and female founders to understand and leverage technology within their organisations. With her ability to flatten communications barriers between technical teams and consumers, she’s spoken at conferences worldwide and hosts the Cutting Through Tech podcast on technical strategy for women leaders.
