Food glorious food! 2023 Cannes Charmer THE TASTE OF THINGS has made its way to digital release and so we put our napkins in collars and dig into the sumptuous feast from Tran Anh Hung. We also look back to an earlier food movie, 1987 Un Certain Regard title BABETTE'S FEAST from Gabriel Axel. Our relationship to food on film, what we can learn about a character from how they eat and how they cook, and the nature of art and pleasure, we get into all of it.
