!Trigger warning: suicide & depression   Coming out of the Celluloid Closet is doing things a little bit different this season. We are collaborating with Cinema Queer, a queer festival in Stockholm, who is behind the Queer Covid Archive. The archive serves to document the experiences of LGBTQIA+ people during the pandemic in different formats, from video, text and even audio - which is where we come in. We have invited people to shared their experiences and thoughts about what the pandemic was like and how it affected different aspects of queer life. On this episode we talk with guests from LGBT Asylum, Nicholas Chisha and our second guest has chosen to stay anonymous. LGBT Asylum is an organization that since 2012 has provided a safe social network, counseling and support to more than four hundred LGBT+ refugees and asylum activists in Denmark.  A small show note about this episode: our guest mentions the population of Egypt to be 150 million, but it is actually 102 million.  Find transcripts of this episode in English and Danish and check out the MIX CPH Film Festival program at mixcopenhagen.dk! MIX CPH 2022 runs October 21 - 30, 2022 in Cinemateket and Empire Bio.
