“Entrepreneurship is different and not everyone that you’ve been around for all your life—your parents, or partner, or your siblings, or whomever it is; is going to understand why you want to step out and be your own boss.” A few updates that I share today: We just made it to episode number 60. The podcast has hit 10K downloads, since we switched platforms. The investment I’m making to become a better coach. In this episode, 16 truth bombs about entrepreneurship! Some people sweep things under the rug, but that’s not what I’m here to do. Tune in for an unapologetic viewpoint of entrepreneurship. Including these 16 truth bombs: Building your business is not only about strategy—you need a SOLID mindset as your foundation. This journey will have the things you struggle with rearing their heads. I’ll give you my tip when it comes to hiring a coach to start your business. This journey is lonely. Not everyone is going to get it. You must find a circle of friends that are where you are on the journey and AHEAD of you. This will help you expand and grow faster. There is no measure of success—and you need more than money to define what is making you successful. Stop looking for validation. You need to take action and ask questions later because you make the rules. As long as the choices you make are for the greatest good of those you serve, you don’t need to ask questions. Energy is everything and people are attracted to higher vibrations than lower, unconfident energy. Protect your energy at all costs. Working harder doesn’t mean making more money. This is something that you must break out of when shifting from an employee mindset to an entrepreneur mindset. This requires footwork up front, that will have a lasting impact. You must be your own biggest cheerleader! There will be days where you feel completely misunderstood. Your mission and vision has to be at the forefront of your why every day. You’re going to fail. You must rewire how you perceive failure and use it to your benefit. Mistakes are simply lessons—lessons are a measure of your growth. You can not help everyone. Your messaging, your way of doing things…do it in the way that works for your ideal clients. Try this mantra: “I am not for everyone, but those that I am for, I serve deeply.” Attracting ideal clients and repealing non-ideal clients is your JOB. Do this with NO apology! Lowering your prices to make it fit ‘everyone,’ is not the name of the game. Serve your audience, unapologetically. Don’t ask people to invest in you, if you haven’t invested in yourself. Be sure that you know what it’s like to be on the receiving in of an offer and the price tag. Put skin in the GAME! You are going to sell your services. Love what you sell, be obsessed with what you sell and have a belief that what your product/service is will 100% change someone’s life. You don’t need to share everything on your social media in order to be authentic. In fact, you may be confusing potential clients and putting yourself in the friend zone and not the zone of authority. This doesn’t make you fake. Be the LEADER that your potential client is looking for to help them. Don’t be afraid to mix it up from time to time and show different parts of you, but on occasion. Stop following and interacting with people that you can’t support or be able to support you in this journey. It’s a waste of time and distracting to you. Filling your audience with your ideal client base is a game changer. Your brand as an entrepreneurship is you, but it’s not about you. You need to focus on solving a problem for your ideal client, so they have something to invest in. If you make all about you, people won’t see the value of investing in you. Separating your identities, so that you can create boundaries between yourself and your business.
