Raised on Hollywood movies and celebrity magazines, Manuel Santelices yearned for a life of excitement and glamour. Nearly 30 years ago, he made the move from his conservative hometown of Santiago, Chile, to New York City, embracing his new bilingual life. As a correspondent for major magazines, he has interviewed celebrities in music, fashion, film, and beyond. These days he’s indulging his passion for making art.
