Lost in Translation / Nikka Gold and Gold

Film And Whiskey - Un pódcast de Bob Book and Brad Gee - Martes

Categorías:

Bob and Brad look back at a critical darling, the 2003 indie hit "Lost in Translation." They both rave about the lead performances by Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson, but have quite a few grievances with writer-director Sofia Coppola's script.  The guys break down whether Murray's character is even sympathetic, and how some of the jokes veer into  actual racism.

Meanwhile, they take the opportunity to try their first Japanese whisky, Nikka Gold and Gold. This is a spirit that's usually only sold in Japanese duty-free stores, and is known for the metallic samurai armor that the bottle comes sheathed in. The question is whether the liquor inside is any good, or if this is just a gimmicky bottle for display only.
