Become a police officer (with Police Now)

Future You: achieve your career goals - Un pódcast de Prospects - Miercoles

Have you ever considered becoming a police officer? It's not traditionally a career choice that comes to mind when you think of graduates straight out of uni. But Anokhi Chouhan joined the Police Now graduate scheme after studying maths and tells a fascinating story about how she reached that decision, despite initial surprise among her friends and family - who were also concerned that she may face racism and discrimination. Now she is a passionate champion of Police Now's mission to bring diverse and inspiring new leaders into policing, and discusses her experiences on the two-year graduate programme, including what it felt like the first time she was out there doing real police work. Police Now recruitment officer Shona Ford also joins the show to guide us through the application process and the different routes your career in policing can take after completing the programme.
