Batching is an incredible tool and we’ve talked about this a lot. A great way to get started is to set aside an hour. Just one hour. (In fact, we suggest setting a timer on your phone for this) and start crafting out ideas for posts, captions, gathering images or creating Canva designs for Instagram posts. Choose one task and dedicate and hour to it. #2. - Schedule your posts. Whether you choose to use a scheduling app (we like Planoly and have a paid version to keep us on track) or you want to manually add to your calendar with alerts; this is a great way to show up consistently on Instagram. #3 - Use a timer. You can set a timer within Instagram that notifies you when you’ve reached your limit. It’s a great way to allot yourself a limited amount of time to complete your goals on instagram - which hopefully leads to less scrolling and more purposeful use of your time. #4 - Find your imagery. Instagram is a visual platform and the photo is the FIRST thing your audience sees. Batch out some time to gather imagery. This could be taking some time to set up and shoot your own, source some stock imagery or go through the albums on your phone and find images that could work. #5 - Stop the scroll - we HAD to sneak this in here! Mindless scrolling is a big waste of time on Instagram. This is why using a timer can help keeping you on track when spending time on the app. A few suggestions that can help you stay on track is to have a goal when you open the app. Register for our Bootcamp: How to Attract More of the Right Customers on Instagram. The bootcamp runs for five days in May - Monday the 17th to Friday May 21st.
