In this lesson, I will introduce 4 particles, "wo", "de", "ni", and "he". <Example Sentences> を(wo) indicates something directly affected by the event. ハンバーガー を たべます。 I eat a hamburger. くるま を うんてんします。 I drive a car. えいが を みます。 I watch a movie. で(de) indicates the place where the action is taken. マクドナルド で ハンバーガー を たべます。 I will eat a hamburger at McDonald's. えいがかん で えいが を みます。 I will watch a movie at a theater. に(ni) has two meanings. Direction: きょう マクドナルド に いきます。 I will go to McDonald's. today. ことし アメリカ に かえります。 I will go back to the US this year. Time: 12じ に ひるごはん を たべます。 I will eat lunch at 12. げつようび に アメリカ に かえります。 I will go back to the US on Monday. へ(he) indicates direction as well as に ; however, it cannot refer to time. きょう マクドナルド へ いきます。 I will go to McDonald's. today. ことし アメリカ へ かえります。 I will go back to the US this year.
