Constance of Castile

As we continue our summer break, today we're playing a really fun episode from Patreon 2022. Constance of Castile was a disputed Spanish princess who entered into a marriage with a man who was very much in love with someone else. Deep in our Katherine Swynford research, we found Constance intriguing and elusive, so we decided to dive in. What we found was a really interesting parallel to the events of her life and those of her husband's love life with his long-time mistress/ mother of a bunch of his Beaufort kids. And as always, when we dive into Spanish royalty this stuff is always dramatic.
