Self worth and self care shouldn’t be words we throw around lightly. They aren’t just concepts we can discuss at lunch with the girls and then forget about when we are back at the office. So today, I want to share some breakthroughs I’ve had in my own life once self worth and self care became actions, not words. Like me, you may have experienced trauma and believe it was something you did or deserved. It was not your fault. Today, I will share some fundamental principles that motivate you to recognize your self worth and lead you to Self Care. In this episode: [00:00] Recognizing the value of understanding self worth and self care. [01:00] How trauma plays a role in how you see yourself. [04:42] Going outside your comfort zone and the gems from the Holistic Psychologist. [08:00] Self acceptance and living out self care. [09:57] Jessica leaves us with thoughts to ponder. Key Takeaways: Negative self-talk is a downward spiral. Self worth, Self care and Self acceptance will never be achieved when we listen to our negative selves. Women often think they won’t accomplish their goals at the office and home if they take time for meals, rest, and exercise, when, in fact, the exact opposite is true. Running a business should not equate to running yourself ragged. Instead, intelligent business women take care of themselves to be the best operator, coaches, or practitioners they can be. Quotes: “Life gets infinitely more peaceful when you understand people can only support you at the level they can support themselves. It’s powerful when we think about past trauma and understand that people are often doing the best they can with what they have.” - Jessica Fearnley “I am worthy of love and care, and I also cannot serve my clients, my family, or my wider audience if I’m not putting the maximum amount of gas in the tank daily. It might be food, rest, movement, but it’s also about applying boundaries in life and work.” - Jessica Fearnley Useful Links Get in touch with Jessica to discuss your consulting business Jessica’s LinkedIn Jessica Fearnley - Instagram
