A professor of global environmental science and lecturer, the 54 year old was born in Finspång, Sweden, grew up in Brazil and Italy, and now lives in Rindö, Sweden. He has previously hosted a Sommar program and a Vinter one in 2015.

Johan Rockström is the director of the Postdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany - one of the most well-known climate research institutes in the world. He says there's a climate emergency but doesn't want people in general to feel climate angst. A global environmental scientist and a diligent debater of climate issues, Rockström has been named The Most Powerful Environmental Person in Sweden twice. He has also served as the director of the Stockholm Environment Institute and the Stockholm Resilience Centre. In addition, Rockström is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Science, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry.
