As three time British Open To the World Latin American Champion and BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing’s head judge she most definitely holds the title as the Queen of Dance, however Shirley’s ascension to superstardom has been far from easy. From tough working class beginnings in Liverpool to being ousted by the dance community after an ill fated romance, Shirley’s grit, determination and Herculean work ethic has seen her battle adversity throughout many chapters of her life.
