Rajiv Jayaweera

"Today’s episode of The Jazz Hole with Linus is mostly about drummer, percussionist and composer Rajiv Jayaweera, who just released his debut recording “Pistils” (via Outside In Music). Rajiv was born in London, grew up in Melbourne, is of Sri Lankan heritage and is currently based in New York City. He talks to host Linus about his inspirations and experiences making this album. Other artists today are the trio Huet//Fournier//Kuhl (Edwin Huet, Alex Fournier and Mike Kuhl) with music from their latest album Rarefied Air, plus tracks by the two unbelievable pianists Ran Blake and Frank Carlberg, who released their duo album Gray Moon in early 2020.
