They examine why it is best to detach your emotional reactions when viewing a property, how it is best to remain neutral in design and not overspend on those unnecessary extras. Do you know what the actual, not estimated, refurb costs will be? If not, Dan and Amy recommend that when viewing properties, you take a trusted builder with you and ask them to point out what the defects are and factor in additional contingency costs before making your offer. It will save you a lot of money in the long run. They cover budget, team and research and help you to understand what is required from a practical perspective. Just because the numbers work on paper for a deal doesn’t mean in reality that is the case!
