Jordan Ward is a counselor and community organizer. His credentials include an associate's degree from Oxnard College, a bachelor's degree in psychology from Cal State Channel Islands, and a master's degree in education counseling from the University of La Verne*. Jordan recently organized a public event titled, "The Talk." The event centered around police brutality and public relations between law enforcement and the community. The panel consisted of Jordan, Dexter of Hip Hop Help, Alex Nguyen (Oxnard City Manager), Scott Whitney (Oxnard Chief of Police), Ross Fontes (EOPS of Oxnard College), and guest speaker, Quinton Floyd (cousin of George Floyd).  In this conversation, Allen and Jordan discuss a variety of topics including his background in psychology, the famous Stanford prison experiment, and subtle forms of racism. Jordan talks about the influence his grandfather had on him during his childhood, and he discusses his approach to teaching his children about race in this country.  Social Media https://www.instagram.com/psychward35/ The Talk: Oxnard Discussion on Police Violence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz7W2SfqicY&t=8121s *Jordan earned a master's from La Verne, not Channel Islands as I state in the introduction of the episode.
