Sangbreeta’s core message Sangbreeta always says that she has an “ordinary life with extraordinary values.” And that is the core message that she tells people around the world: you may have an ordinary life but is filled with extraordinary values, and that makes you unique. Corporate storytelling Sangbreeta finds corporate storytelling dynamic. One the one hand is the story of an individual within an organization, and on the other hand is the story of that organization. This should answer the question: Who am I in that organization? In practice, there are two main steps to craft your own corporate story: * Every company has their core values. Sit down, study those core values, the history and the company’s vision. * When you write the story of you working for a corporation, connect the organization values with your own personal story and values. Corporate storytelling across geographical regions In every country there are certain things (e.g. stories) that appeal to the sense of identity of a group of people. It’s important to tell examples that belong to their own cultures. The same applies to values. For instance, in the Netherlands people focuses on transparency, on being direct. In South Asia respect and humility are more important values. Other countries in Asia will value discipline. When you travel you can tell the same keynote, presentation, workshop but you will have to change the stories, examples, exercises to match the values of each country.   Related: Tell Big Ideas or Be Forgotten Favorite quotation “A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.” — John A.
