We are really thrilled to be joined by the amazing Fiona Marjoram (RVN & Nurse Programme Coordinator, United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland Hill's Pet Nutrition Ltd). Fiona began nursing in 1987 and qualified as a VN in 1989. She worked in veterinary practice for 13 years, during the last year of which she also worked as a veterinary nursing and animal care lecturer at the West Sussex College of Agriculture. This was a great opportunity to chat about the role pet nutrition plays in practice today - touching on some of the trends and difficulties we come face as vets and nurses on a daily basis. Most importantly Fiona reminds us there is no such thing as ‘just a vet nurse’ and what a powerful role nurses can have in veterinary practice today. So who is best placed to discuss nutrition and to make an appropriate recommendation? Dr Google, the breeder, the groomer or the Vet Healthcare Team?   In our clinical segment we start a series of chats about the investigation and management of lower urinary tract disease. This week Scott chats through the initial investigation of urolithiasis. We are really grateful to the wonderful folk at Hill’s Pet Nutrition (www.hillsvet.co.uk) for their support of this podcast an and our lower urinary tract disease course:   https://vtx-cpd.com/courses/lower-urinary-tract-disease-in-dogs-and-cats-taking-the-stress-out-of-the-spasm/
