Episode 41 - Minds, bodies, souls and Vet Mums
veterinary thought exchange vtx:podcast - Un pódcast de vtxpodcast
We have a real treat for you this week. We are joined by the brilliant Liz Barton. Liz is a vet and has worked in mixed practice in the Lake District, completed a small animal internship, worked nights, has been a GP small animal vet and worked in shelter medicine. Liz co-founded WellVet as a not-for-profit initiative to increase access to wellbeing support for vet teams. She also co-founded the Vet Mums Facebook community to open up discussion around the challenges of parenting and working. She's on SPVS board as wellbeing representative, and has been involved with many organisations and groups across the veterinary industry. She found herself having to learn marketing, PR and communications for her own projects, which led to her diversifying into this as a career in 2019, alongside a period co-editing Veterinary Woman. She's now found her perfect fit as Head of Communications for VetCT, who provide specialist support for veterinary teams all over the world. In our clinical segment we continue series of chats about the investigation and management of lower urinary tract disease. This week Scott chats through some more of the specifics regarding urolith management: https://vtx-cpd.com/courses/lower-urinary-tract-disease-in-dogs-and-cats www.vet-ct.com www.wellvet.co.uk
