The image of a squirrel, digging through a trash can that is filled with plastic Starbucks cups is somewhat iconic to APU. If anything, students continue to live in a ‘trash culture’ while the rest of California is making strides towards sustainability. Host Anna Savchenko asks Aubrey Dyer, president of APU’s sustainability club, whether or not she thinks APU is doing enough to educate students on sustainability, as well as the difficulties behind promoting the idea of sustainability to a student body that generally approaches this matter with an attitude of neglect.
